Veteran Ghanaian broadcaster and author Gifty Anti has opened up about her emotional journey to motherhood, revealing the challenges she faced before giving birth to her first child at the age of 47.

“I was scared to think of childbirth because I heard it’s impossible to have a child after 40, but I had my first child at 47,” she said.

“It didn’t happen naturally; I did IVF and I had failed IVFs before this one worked,” she shared.

Throughout the journey, she remained hopeful and prayerful, even considering adoption as an alternative.
“I wanted a child… if it doesn’t happen, I’m going to adopt,” she said.
