Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has renewed his criticism of the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) over the seizure of his Lamborghini Urus.
He made the comments during a performance at the Gomoa Easter Carnival on April 5, 2025.
Claims About the Incident
Shatta Wale stated that officials from EOCO visited his residence under the claim that they were searching for a vehicle reportedly linked to a criminal investigation.
According to him, the situation later escalated into allegations of fraud, which he disputes.
He also suggested that the encounter could have escalated further, but chose to remain calm during the incident.
Background to the Controversy
The issue dates back to October 2025, when EOCO officers reportedly moved to retrieve the luxury vehicle, which was allegedly connected to a case under investigation in the United States.
EOCO maintained that its actions were within legal mandate and part of ongoing investigative processes.

Detention and Public Reaction
Following the incident, Shatta Wale was invited to EOCO headquarters in Accra, where he was held for several days.
His detention sparked reactions from fans, some of whom gathered in protest outside the premises before his release.
Ongoing Dispute
Since the incident, the artiste has continued to publicly express dissatisfaction with EOCO’s handling of the matter, keeping the controversy in the public eye.
