Collation of election result has started in different states across the country, especially in states Like Lagos, Anambra, Ekiti, Ondo among others.

However, the former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party (LP)’s front man, Mr. Peter Obi, has overtaken his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, Bola Tinubu, in Lagos State. This was revealed in a report published on the webpage of Premium Times.

He took the lead with the results of Saturday’s presidential elections declared in 17 out of the 20 local government areas of the state so far.

Despite the fact that the former governor of Lagos State, Tinubu won more local government areas in the state, Obi outnumbered him in figures, as he trailed behind Mr. Obi by 32,442 votes.

According to the available result, Bola Tinubu triumphed in 10 LGAs, polling a total of 416,436 votes so far, while Mr Obi won in only 7 LGAs, but the former governor of Anambra State leads the tally with 448,878 votes.
