AgroCenta Technologies Invites Job Applications. They are seeking an experienced mobile application developer to join our growing company. AgroCenta is looking to make some very significant changes to our Velociti mobile app used by our field agents in interacting with non literate smallholder farmers.
You will be responsible for entirely running the show on this. This is typically an Android app but we could throw iOS in at any time. A successful candidate must combine your knowledge of UX with insight into the latest technology in mobile applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Velociti mobile application used by field agents.
- Keep up with latest technology trends for mobile application development.
- Work with UI designers to brainstorm wireframes and/or mockup ideas.
- Add and optimize app features as per specifications.
- Prepare and manage releases for test and production versions of the application.
- Apply the most efficient methods to the code you write.
- Implement testing procedures to identify bugs.
- Have a thoughtful process for prioritising and fixing bugs.
- Engage with users to better understand customer needs and areas that need improvement.
Qualifications:
- Just be good at what you say you are good at — Mobile application development.
- Experience building mobile applications that are in production.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work in a team and without supervision.
- Have good communication skills. We are a startup. You will be demoing to investors and other partners a lot.
- Be able to apply common sense to technical solutions.
- Be able to break complex real world problems into simple technical solutions on mobile.
- Be able to collaborate using project/task management tools like Jira.
- Some knowledge about biometric solutions for mobile. You necessarily shouldn’t have implemented any of these solutions.
AgroCenta Technologies is language or framework agnostic. Your language/framework of choice should however provide users with a native Android experience. Fast and fluid.
