Hours after Sista Afia’s WMT hardcore rap hit the trends, blogs and social media trends automatically assumed some of the lines in the song were shots at some of her colleagues in the industry, mostly Sister Derby and Wendy Shay.
However, Sista Afia in her #AskQueenSolomon section on twitter denied vehemently that the song was never a diss song in the first place neither was it a shot to any artist as people have been insinuating or tagging.
She further went ahead on her Instagram live to clear the air on the aforementioned rumors. Speaking her heart out, the weather hitmaker stressed that, the WMT song was not inspired or motivated by the feud between her friend Fella Makafui and Sister Derby. In fact according to sista Afia, contrary to what people thought about her opinion on Sister Derby’s music, “I love her style of music, ill love to work with her for sure” she replied.
Also stating that though she didn’t write most of the lyrics in the song, neither of them came from Medikal. She then emphasized that she doesn’t want to “beef” any artist and the song was solely inspired by the trends which she decided to follow.
She also expressed her intentions or desire to continue giving her fans more of the rap style since “I still got it”.
