The advent of the Internet has helped the populace in accessing information. Internet subscribers are usually of benefit to the economy since they will have to pay for data before using the web. An analysis from the Cable Index revealed the number of internet subscribers in the country.
Note: Abuja was regarded as a state in this analysis.

(10) Niger State.
Niger state located in the Northcentral region is the 10th state with the highest number of internet subscribers. About 4.5 million persons out of about 5.5 million of the state’s total population subscribed to the internet.
(9) Edo state.
Edo state, which is in the south-south region has a total of 5.2 million internet subscribers.
(8) Delta state.
Delta state which is also located in the south-south region is 8th on the list. The state has about 5.3 million internet subscribers.
(7) Rivers state.
Rivers state located in the south-south has about 5.7 million internet subscribers.
(6) Kaduna states.
Kaduna state, which is also known as the center of learning is located in the northwest. The state has a total of 6.8 million internet subscribers.
(5) Abuja(FCT).
The Federal Capital Territory is the 5th on the list. Abuja has about 6.9 million internet users.
(4) Oyo state.
Oyo state located in the southwest has about 8 million internet users.
(3) Ogun state.
Ogun state, which is also located in the Southwest Is the 3rd on the list. The state has a total of 9.1 million internet subscribers.
(2) Kano state.
With the population of Kano state, it is not surprising that it has many internet subscribers. About 9.6 million persons in Kano are subscribed to the internet.
(1) Lagos state.
Lagos state which is the economical hub of the country is the 1st on the list. The state has about 18.6 million internet subscribers.
