Over the few pas years, the Ghanaian movie industry has been fading out and this has attracted a lot of questions over why the movie industry has lost its relevance over time.

However, popular Kumawood actor, Akwasi Boadi known as Akrobeto has made some claims as to why the movie industry has faded out.
According Akrobeto, Dumsor was the greatest blow that hit the local film makers and movie industry as they incurred losses during those times.

“Dumsor was a big problem to our work. It was the beginning of our owoes because we weren’t able to work as we used to do.”
“People could not even watch movies they buy and we weren’t able to churn out more content for our viewers,” he said.
Akrobeto’s assertion comes on the back of the decrease in the patronage of local movie content because many believe it lacks quality which is ultimately leading to the ‘death’ of the Ghana movie industry.
