“Maame Serwaa Bashes Ghanaian Bloggers”

A blog is a regularly updated website or web page. A person who writes blogs is known as a blogger. Bloggers are usually known for their compelling write ups about celebrities, food, lifestyle among others. Those who specifically write about celebrities are often criticized. Because they are often known for writing false news about celebrities just to get views on their sites.

Some of these bloggers end up getting their social media platforms blocked just for circulating false news about these celebrities.

In a recent interview with Kwaku Manu on his Youtube Channel Kwaku Manu TV, actress Clara Amoateng Benson popularly known as Maame Serwaa explained why she does not grant interviews to most bloggers.

The actress indicated that bloggers have a way of twisting stories to their advantage. Which to her, is not acceptable . She revealed it will tarnish her image as a celebrity and also ruin any chances she might get from companies to be a brand ambassador.

She cited an example by saying, ‘’imagine a company like cowbell wants me as a brand ambassador and because of a false or twisted news about me written by a blogger, I end up losing the deal’’.

Furthermore, the actress stressed on the fact that bloggers do not dwell on their good works. But choose to dwell on the negative aspects of their lives.

Maame Serwaa revealed that because of these unforeseen circumstances, she does not grant interviews to just any blogger. She stated she is not the only one in the entertainment industry that feels this way about bloggers but most of her colleagues as well.

She further urged the general public to be meticulous about anything they read on the internet . Because most of the articles about her are false.
