There is a new Job Posting At Presbyterian University, Ghana. The university is looking to recruit a new Vice Chancellor.
Duties:
Some of the Vice Chancellor’s most important responsibilities are:
- Serve as the Academic and Administrative Head and Chief Disciplinary Officer of the University under the direction of the University Council.
- Be the Chief Executive Officer of the University and be responsible, according to the Statutes and decisions of the University Council and Senate, for organizing and running the academic, financial, and administrative business of the University and promoting its efficiency and good order.
Qualifications and Experience:
- The candidate must be a professor with an international reputation as a scholar.
- He or she must be a person of stature and integrity with great leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, passion, energy, and the ability to organize the resources needed to carry out the mission and vision of the University.
Requirements:
- The ability to run a university;
- The ability to build and maintain good relationships inside and outside the university;
- The ability to project the university’s image both inside and outside the university;
- The ability to lead the university with a strong vision and new ideas.
Terms of Appointment
- The job is for a four-year term in the first place.
- Can be reappointed for another four years or a part of that time.
