But despite reports that he will be playing his final international tournament in Qatar, Andre Ayew, the Black Stars captain, insists he is only focused on 2022.

Ayew was promoted to the senior team after winning the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup with the Black Satellites in 2009.

Following Ghana’s World Cup qualification at the expense of Nigeria, many have speculated that the striker’s 32nd World Cup may be his last with the Black Stars.

If he keeps up his current form, the athlete may return to the field in the future.

“I’m not looking beyond what’s coming,” Ayew said when asked if Qatar would be his final World Cup.

THE 2022 WORLD CUP WILL BE @AYEWANDRE‘S THIRD, FOLLOWING APPEARANCES IN 2010 AND 2014. BUT THE GHANA CAPTAIN TELLS @GARYALSMITH THAT HE’S NOT THINKING ABOUT QATAR AS THE LAST DANCE.
