There is a new Job Update At BIMA. The company is a hiring an Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
You shall perform the following duties;
Account Payables:
- Accurately post all Suppliers Invoices in Workday
- Run weekly payable settlements
- Analyze expenses and actively review supplier’s terms and cost reduction opportunities
- Be the main contact person for supplier’s queries
- Improve monthly processes and procedures for payables
- Perform accruals posting and pre-payments management
Procurement:
- Improve and implement procurement policy
- Responsible for procuring all assets needed by all departments of BIMA
Payroll:
- Prepare Payroll on time and accurately
- Set-up and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy of payroll calculations
- Undertake timely statutory filings and payments (PAYE, SSNIT Contributions, Tier 2 Contributions, VAT Returns, Withholding Taxes)
- Accurate post all payroll journals
- Be the main contact for Employee’s payroll queries
Taxes:
- Submissions of all company taxes: VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, etc.,
- Maintenance of Tax & compliance checker
Others:
- Provide excellent accounting support to all managers and other divisions
- Ensure good working relationship with stakeholders
- Ensure BIMA’s tax compliance & optimize its tax outflow
- Respond to any head office requests for financial
- Apply good accounting standards and applicable International Financial Reporting Standards in daily operations
- Perform other related duties within the scope of accounting and finance as assigned
Requirements:
The candidate must be/have:
Educational Qualification
- CA, ACCA or CIMA or other related designations
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Should have completed National Service
Professional skills
- At least 3 years working experience in accounting or auditing roles
- Excellent knowledge in accounting principles and standards (IFRS)
- Experience managing a direct report(s)
- Experience in budgetary management, forecasting and financial control
- Good knowledge in Ghana tax laws
- Excellent in the use of ERP systems. We use Tally and Workday Financials.
- Excellent MS Office skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Good leadership skills
- Must be results-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in English
- Must be proactive and work collaboratively
- Must be self-motivated
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
