Chelsea will play host to French champions Lille in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday evening as the Blues look to defend their European title.
After five wins on the bounce in all competitions, including victory in the FIFA Club World Cup final, Chelsea go into this game against Lille in good form.
The same can’t be said for the French side though, with the reigning Ligue 1 champions struggling to hit the same heights as last season, sitting 11th in the league table.
Chelsea last met Lille in the Champions League group stages in the 2019/20 season, with the Blues winning 2-1 on two occasions to pick up six points in Group H.
Reece James, Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell will all be sidelined on Tuesday with injuries, and Cesar Azpilicueta is expected to be fit to face Lille despite missing Saturday’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
