Just recently, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) as well as the Gaming Commission issued a warning to all Ghanaian celebrities to stop advertising for alcohol and and betting companies.

They are of the view that, by endorsing such companies, it might negatively affect the youth.
However, a number of Ghanaian celebrities have come out to criticize this move. Wendy Shay even threatened to sue the Ghana Gaming Commission.

In reaction to these protests, Ghanaian actress, Ama K. Abebrese has lashed out at her fellow celebs who are not in support of the ban being placed by the FDA and Gaming Commission on celebs.
This, according to Abebrese, clearly shows that we are not serious as a country.
