The President of the Confederation of African Football, Dr Patrice Motsepe, is set to arrive in Senegal on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, for high-level talks aimed at easing tensions following a controversial ruling by the CAF Appeals Board.
Dr Motsepe’s visit comes amid growing unrest in Senegalese football after the Appeals Jury decided to strip the country of its 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.

During his visit, the CAF President is scheduled to meet with officials from the Senegalese Football Federation as well as key government representatives.
