The reggae dancehall goddess in Ghana, Ak Songress who is known for her songs like King of Queens, oneness, can u feel it, don’t you dare, dangerous, to mention a few have because of the current situation in Ghana and the world, has released a song to encourage people.
The new song which features the legendary singer, Efya Noktunal, Wonua, is a strong powerful song that encourages oneness, unity, and sisterhood at these trying times in the world. Though one would expect a hardcore raga from AK songstress on the Wonua Reggae song, she took the opportunity to show her mellifluent singing voice, beautifully augmenting the strong vocal of Efya. This has made the Wonua tune a good piece for solitude, dancing, and other purposes.

She further revealed that Efya did not her for featuring on the song. To her, Efya is like a sister, and that is why she decided to do this with her for free and not to reduce how people uplift her brand in their minds and heart. She also added that considering the kind of brand Efya has, she couldn’t have brought just any song to her for featuring which is why this took too long to happen. She is hopeful that one day she would get Efya to leave her comfort zone to feature on one Reggae dancehall song with her.
Wonua, is a good piece that clearly shows how powerful our Ghanaian female musicians are when they come together to work.
