The legendary gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong, who has been doing active music for 43 years has this year added some interesting twists to his career when he featured Rap artists, Sarkodie, on his Ahombrase song. The song made trends in Ghana touching the hearts of its listeners as it encompasses the soothing voice and wisdom of Yaw Sarpong, Tiwaa, and the Asomafo with the deep inspirational rap by Sarkodie.
Though most people do not understand Yaw Sarpong’s decision to work with a rap artist since he is a renowned gospel artist, it seems the confusion is about to get worse since he is working on songs that feature Samini, Kinaata, Kweku Gyasi and Joe mettle for his upcoming album.

When asked if he saw nothing wrong with associating with secular artists, he cleverly responded that no matter the type of music they do, they are bringing joy to the Lord’s children and to him that is God’s work and does not see anything wrong with working with them since they are all musicians.
