What Does the Lifting Of the Lockdown Mean to the Entertainment Industry?

Last Sunday, the President of Ghana, Nana Addo, lifted the ban that restricted persons from designated areas to move about their normal activities while still maintaining the ban on social gatherings which includes church services, clubs, and entertainment shows.

This dictum, has caused anxieties to event planners and promoters, whose events have been postponed till further notice. Without social gatherings, event organizers are now to think outside the scope, to go out of the way to get events like award shows done. But with people going about their businesses will they be free to watch online for hours as they did when they were on mandatory lockdown with nowhere to be?

Should the ban on social gathering be lifted, what would that also mean to the industry, will people be willing to come out of their shells to crowded events and if not, what are some of the strategies industry players could employ to get people through the door or even get their events done?
