On Wednesday, it was reported that a teenage girl, schooling at Community Secondary School, Ikot-Ewa in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State, was caught and arrested after she tried to shoot her teacher with a locally made pistol gun.
It was said that her teacher cautioned her on her fancy hairdo and instructed her to cut it, since it was against the school’s rules.
This news raised mixed reactions among Nigerians, as many asked the source of the girl’s gun and the motive behind her actions. We did not wait for too long, as the whole matter has been unraveled.

According to VANGUARD NEWSPAPERS, the teenage school girl confessed that she belongs to a secret cult. She also revealed that the owner of the gun, is her boyfriend, who is married to another woman with six children.
She made the confession today, Friday 19th of February, 2021 at the Police Command Headquarters, Diamond Hill Calabar, when she was paraded with her lover, who was identified as Okon Effiong, who owns the pistol gun. While speaking with newsmen today, the Commissioner of Police in Cross River State said that the Police discovered that the schoolgirl was taking the gun to a blacksmith.
It was unraveled that her boyfriend has been having carnal knowledge of her since August 2020 and is very familiar with the girl’s family, as he helps them on a frequent basis. Okon Effiong said “I am a married man with six children. I did not give her gun, she took it herself while I kept it under the bed. I started sleeping with her August last year, her mother knows me, I have been doing small something on her head, they know she is my wife”.
The school girl confessing that she is a cultist, said she is just a normal member and has no rank in the group. She confirmed that Okon Effiong has been intimate with her since last year and is very familiar with her family. She said ” I am a member of Sky Queen Confraternity, I am just an ordinary member, I don’t hold any position in the group. I have known the owner of the gun, who is my man-friend since last year, he sleeps with me and supports me with little things, but he is not the one paying my school fees. My mother knows about him because he visits me at our house and sometimes, he sleeps over at my place because I have my own room.
Then in the morning he goes back to his house”.
This case portrays the failure of her parents to nurture her.
