NSS person arrested for issuing fake GES appointments

Ziblim Abdul Latif, who works as a National Service person at Yendi Senior High School (SHS) in the Northern Region, is now being held by the police on suspicion of forging Ghana Education Service (GES) appointment posting letters.

The victims included around one hundred individuals who were looking for work and had submitted applications to GES.

In an interview with Citi News, the Regional Director of Education, Dr. Peter Attafuah, said that the suspect’s letters include forged signatures of both the Director-General and the Regional Director of Education. This information was provided by the suspect.

According to him, two victims have gone to the police station to submit statements verifying the suspect’s conduct. These statements may be found at the station.

“From time to time, we overhear a group of individuals congregating at the headquarters or even right here yelling that they are instructors, but that we are not paying them,”
