Nana Akufo Addo Declares March 25, 2020 A National Day Of Fasting & Prayers To Fight Covid-19

Nana Akufo Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, has declared March 25, 2020, a national day of fasting & prayers. The President said this in a live broadcast on Saturday-March 21, 2020 in the ‘3rd Update’ of the coronavirus situation in Ghana. 

The President has therefore charged all Christians and Muslims to join forces to pray on this day so we can defeat the deadly effect of the Covid-19.

Meanwhile, one of the 19 patients suffering from the coronavirus has died. A citinewsroom.com says the deceased, a 61-year-old Lebanese man, reported to a health facility in Kumasi with a fever and cough.

The report added his temperature was 39.4 degrees Celcius. It is not clear whether his death was a direct result of the virus.
