A man called Lwandi Mbebe shares his sad story on how he lost his eyes and wife at the time criminals broke into their house. Lwandi said he got into a relationship with Nguso when they were in the University. Lwandi found his fiance to be a woman he can marry and spent the rest of his life with. After graduating they got married, they loved each other and they were a lovely couple.
They had a miscarriage with their first pregnancy, it wasn’t easy for them but within a couple of months, they became happy when Nguso got pregnant and gave birth to their daughter. The man continued that every last weekend of the month they usually send their daughter to his mother’s house so that the two of them can have fun. They went out one Friday night, they got back to the house around 9 pm and were relaxing in front of their house.
All of a sudden three men jumped over their fence and entered into their house, the three men got hold of the couple and dragged them into the house. Lwanda was locked up, he woke up and found himself in their guest’s room, one of those men pointed a gun at him, he pleaded with the man not to shoot him but when he turned around he found his wife lying in a pool of blood. The man tried to wake his wife but there was no response, he tried to escape and get help but he became unconscious, he regained consciousness when one of his neighbours tried to wake him up.
They called the ambulance and were sent to the hospital. The man was told that his wife was shot on her chest so she was in critical condition and he too was shot on the head. He was assured that they will be well, his wife lost a lot of blood and she couldn’t survive. Lwandi went through a surgery but he lost one of his eyes. It was not easy for Lwandi when he was told his wife has died but as time goes on he was able to move on in life.
