In Ghana, most artists have not had the best of luck with record labels, in most scenarios they have a nasty break away from labels with artists being tagged ungrateful or arrogant. One such artists who has and still deals with such tags has been Kelvyn Boy, which has made him skeptical about signing onto another Ghanaian label.
Making an appearance on SammyFlex’s Showbiz Daily, Kelvyn boy expressed his dissatisfaction and mistrust for record labels in Ghana and his unwillingness to sign on to one soon emphasizing “I’ve not being impressed with any record label in Ghana.” Yet when asked about his affiliation with the Blakkarm label and their logo in his videos he responded that he has a strong relationship with Blakk cedi and does not see anything wrong with him putting his logo on there since he pays for almost everything about his music.

He further cleared all doubts in the minds of people about being signed on to the Blakkarm Record label, stating emphatically that “I’m not signed onto Blakkarm and I have no record label now.” He, however, expresses his willingness to give an international label a shot and reveals his idea of jumping unto such labels with Blakk Cedi by his side as his manager.
He concluded that though they have no official indelible records of their partnership he is willing to be signed on by Blakk Cedi if he wants to sign him. But does not want to make it so soon in order not to confirm allegations that Blakk cedi signed him behind Stonebwoy during their time at Burniton Music.
