I didn’t Feel Safe in Nigeria—Nana Ama Mcbrown

Nana Ama Mcbrown is a household name in most Ghanaian homes. She has starred in a lot of movies both in Twi and English.

There is this perception that if an actor or actress can speak English, then that person can act in Nigerian movies. Due to this, we see a lot of Ghanaian and Nigerian collaborations.

Nana Ama Mcbrown in a interview with Kwaku Manu on his Youtube Channel revealed she couldn’t star in a lot of Nigerian movies. Because she didn’t feel safe.

Furthermore, she stated she saw an opportunity that Twi movies would thrive. Because of the high hopes she had for Twi movies, she decided not to go to Nigeria as her other colleagues in the industry did.

She disclosed that a lot of her colleagues were going to Nigeria. But she wanted to create that niche for herself in the Twi movies.

The actress expressed her profound gratitude to miracle films for giving her the opportunity to become a household name in Ghana.
