The most prestigious Black Entertainment Television Awards came off on Sunday 28th June, 2020. The event was held virtually due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns and simulcasted via CBS.
The show was graced by stunning performances from artistes including Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, as, Usher, YG, and many more.

Beyoncé was honoured with the coveted annual Humanitarian Award in recognition of her ongoing charitable works. Roddy Ricch bagged home the prize for Album of the Year (Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial), Megan Thee Stallion was also prized with Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Lizzo was honoured with the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist accolade.
