Earl International Company has a new Career Update. The international mining house is seeking an Underground Mining Manager who will provide tactical and operational support, who delivers maximum value for the company’s operating assets and projects in Ghana.
This role includes all activities related to Underground Mining, Planning and Strategy. furthermore, the incumbent will provide direct output support to both site and regional business units in the identification and adoption of relevant disciple strategy, provision of competent technical support to the operations, provision of governance/ assurance and representation of the company on all matters relating to the discipline including the interaction and benchmarking with peers in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- To provide technical specialist support to the mine site on application of evaluation models, systems, and processes.
- Provide expert Tactical technical support and consulting service for the business units assets,
- Provide support and facilitate processes with Underground Mining experts to develop benchmark metrics, reports, and standards for performance measurement.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the underground Mine in both development and production at a trackless mechanized mine to maximize safety, operational efficiencies and profitability.
- Formulate and execute strategies that support the growth of mine operations; ensures strategies are linked to the organization’s overall strategy.
- Sound practical understanding of the entire mining value chain. worked in an expatriate role and has demonstrated capacity and willingness to explore and embrace different cultures.
Requirements: Qualification and skill:
- 5 to 10 years’ operational experience within an underground mining environment of which at least three (3) years is at senior management level; Preferably applicable business
- Unground Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency or equivalent (MINCOM Underground Mine Manager certification)
- Can identify and interpret safety risks and resolve emerging issues
- Flexible rotations including night shift and demonstrated ability to work under pressure safely.

- Dark environment which requires the use of a cap lamp.
