Fans of TV 3 Date Rush are highly expectant of this Sunday’s edition of the dating show, despite the backlash and insults from controversial radio and TV relationship counselor and a Reverend Minister, Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, popularly known as Counselor Lutterodt.
The #Date Rush show has become one of the topmost reality shows on the Ghanaian TV screens, captivating the hearts of the millennials.
Last Sunday’s edition of Date Rush was met with some stereotypic comments against one of the female participants; Joan, whom some bloggers alleged was inflicted with some mental illness, is a drug addict, deported by her parents for her deviancy.

The last to have wounded persons who have loved this show, is Counsellor Lutterodt who labeled the show as a “Glorified Prostitution”.
But these comments are not strong enough to extinguish the burning desires of ‘Lovers and hunters’ who wish to play this game to find their ‘super and mysterious lover’ via the platform.
Following comments on TV3’s facebook page, two things are likely to happen Sunday night on the pending show.
1. The Host Nii Kpakpo is likely to refute claims made by Counsellor Lutterodt on his “Glorified Prostitution” that might have marred the reputation of participants and sponsors of such a dignified reality show. Since the unfortunate pronouncement and name calling, management of TV3 nor Host of the Date Rush Show have never made a delivered a single response to the counsellor. Well, it might be for their understanding of ‘free speech’ or the relationship they’ve enjoyed in this showbiz.
2. The second probable reactions to these comments may be that of participants. A strong defense and correction of the misconception Counsellor Lutterodt had conceived, will be launched by the ‘fairy pretty ladies’ that come on the stage, as they are the victims of these ‘unsavory remarkes’. IT will be a night that will begin with a show of qualities and brilliance of the Ghanaian woman.
