June 26, 2015, marked the first day that a ruling by the United States Supreme Court in 2015 finally guaranteed the right of gay and lesbian couples but before that, 36 states had already legalized same-sex marriage in the US.
The legalization of same-sex marriage has become a topic of discussion as many top European countries and some African countries have also legalized what has been termed as an abomination in the true church of Christ.
