Richie Mensah, CEO of Lynx Entertainment, recently stated that Bradez was the first to popularize tongue-twisting in Ghanaian rap, well before Sarkodie came onto the scene.
Richie shared these thoughts during an interview on Daybreak Hitz on January 23, 2025.
“I’ve heard people say Sarkodie made tongue-twisting popular, but that’s not even up for debate. Give Me Blow Remix dropped before Sarkodie, so Bradez was already twisting before anyone even knew about him,” Richie explained.

He also highlighted that the ‘tongue-twisting debate’ sheds light on a broader issue in the industry: misinformation.
“This all points to a bigger problem we have—lack of information. I always say, Google has ended so many debates. In the past, people would argue endlessly, but now you can simply Google and find the answer,” he added.
Bradez, the influential rap duo that emerged in the early 2000s, consists of Kunta Kinte and Flowking Stone. Known for their unique blend of Ghanaian music with hip-hop and rap, they played a significant role in shaping the local music scene.
