Ghanaian rapper Kweku Smoke is enjoying a strong run on the Ghana Apple Music chart, with several songs from his latest project occupying prominent positions as of September 9, 2026.
His current performance puts him ahead of fellow Ghanaian star Black Sherif, who is also making a strong showing with songs from his latest releases.
Kweku Smoke Takes the Lead
Kweku Smoke’s “Bombele” currently sits at No. 1 on the Ghana Apple Music Top Songs chart, while his collaboration with Lasmid, “Faith,” is at No. 3. Other Kweku Smoke songs, including “Survivor,” “Soul Healer,” “Bra” and “Halleluyah,” are also inside the Top 10.
The rapper’s dominance extends beyond individual songs.
His latest album, NO DAYS OFF, is currently ranked No. 1 on the Ghana Apple Music Top Albums chart, ahead of Black Sherif’s SUN SHERIF – EP, which sits at No. 2.
Apple Music lists NO DAYS OFF as Kweku Smoke’s latest release, with the 13-track album released on September 4, 2026.
Black Sherif Is Close Behind
While Kweku Smoke currently leads the chart, Black Sherif is not far behind.
His song “Jolie” is currently No. 2 on the Ghana Apple Music Top Songs chart, followed by “Expresso” at No. 4. “Forever,” featuring AratheJay, is also in the Top 10 at No. 8.
Black Sherif’s SUN SHERIF – EP, released on September 3, 2026, is also performing strongly, ranking No. 2 on the Ghana album chart.
Kweku Smoke’s Strong Album Run
One of the most noticeable aspects of the current chart is the number of Kweku Smoke songs appearing in the upper positions.
His songs currently occupying positions in the Ghana Top 20 include:
- Bombele – No. 1
- Faith feat. Lasmid – No. 3
- Survivor – No. 5
- Soul Healer – No. 6
- Bra – No. 7
- Halleluyah – No. 9
- Okwantunii – No. 12
- Power House with Kwesi Arthur – No. 13
- Life Of A Hustler – No. 15
- Mmereniho with Dikoo – No. 16
- No Days Off – No. 17
- Set it Straight – No. 18
- Through The Pain – No. 19
That level of chart presence shows how strongly listeners are responding to the new project.
Black Sherif Keeps the Pressure On
Black Sherif also has multiple songs competing near the top of the chart.
Apart from “Jolie” and “Expresso,” his songs “Forever,” “Frontline,” “Run Around” and “Love Again” are all among the current Top 20.
This means the current Ghana Apple Music chart is effectively showing a strong battle between two of Ghana’s leading rap voices.
A Big Moment for Ghanaian Hip-Hop
The performances of both artistes are significant for Ghanaian hip-hop.
Kweku Smoke has been steadily building his reputation as one of the prominent voices of the new generation of Ghanaian rappers, while Black Sherif has already established a strong international profile.
Having their projects and songs occupy so many positions on a major streaming chart also gives fans another reason to debate who is currently having the stronger run.
Of course, Apple Music rankings can change frequently depending on listening activity, so today’s positions should not necessarily be treated as a permanent measure of an artiste’s popularity.
My Opinion
Kweku Smoke deserves credit for the way NO DAYS OFF has entered the market.
Having the album at No. 1 while multiple songs from the project occupy the upper part of the Ghana chart is a strong early indication that the project is connecting with listeners.
At the same time, Black Sherif’s numbers show that he remains a major force. With SUN SHERIF sitting at No. 2 and several of his songs competing near the top, this is less about one artiste disappearing and more about Ghanaian rap currently having multiple artists commanding attention.
Final Thoughts
Kweku Smoke currently has the upper hand on the Ghana Apple Music chart, with “Bombele” at No. 1 and NO DAYS OFF leading the album chart.
Black Sherif, however, remains close behind with “Jolie” at No. 2 and SUN SHERIF – EP at No. 2 among albums.
With both artistes performing strongly, Ghanaian music fans have plenty to watch as the rankings continue to change.
For now, Kweku Smoke has the No. 1 spot — but Black Sherif is right behind him.
