Popular Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has opened up about his experience working with Sarkodie, describing it as nothing short of surreal.
In an interview with Kafui Dey, the award-winning singer likened the moment to performing in front of “the perfect audience.”
Reflecting on their time in the studio, Black Sherif explained that he felt a strong responsibility to match the level of Sarkodie’s contribution, not just by elevating his performance, but by fully expressing himself.“Being in the studio with him, I feel like all day long, Countryside is the song it is,” he said.

He further admitted that the entire experience felt almost unreal, especially considering Sarkodie’s influence on his journey as an artiste.“You see this man on TV, on radio, at the awards, you hear from him by mouth, by doings.
Then suddenly you’re in his house, making music with him. How do you give him something worth his verse? It wasn’t only about stepping up, I needed to express myself. And the only way I can explain it is how I feel on stage: the perfect audience,” he shared.
In 2024, Sarkodie featured Black Sherif on Countryside, a collaboration that quickly became a hit and a fan favourite, further highlighting the strong creative chemistry between the two artistes.
