A trotro mate has brought to light a distressing incident where he was arrested for what he describes as a senseless reason.
In an interview on GhOne TV, monitored by Ghpage.com, he revealed that he was among those arrested during an anti-galamsey protest.
Sharing his story, he explained that he was merely passing by when he encountered the protestors on the streets of Accra. Despite not being part of the protest, he shouted “Choo boi,” a phrase he often uses.
Without any proper investigation, the police arrested him.
“I was just passing by, and suddenly I was in a nightmare. I didn’t mean anything by it. It was just a phrase I’ve heard and said before. I told them I wasn’t part of the protest, but they didn’t listen. They just saw me as part of the crowd. They slapped me and beat me severely for no reason. I was trying to explain myself,” he recounted.
