Liam Gallagher Promises Paraguay Fans ‘Show Of Your Life’ After Cancelling Gig

After Liam Gallagher’s Paraguay gig was canceled yesterday due to extreme weather, he promised fans ‘the show of your life’.

The Oasis alum was due to headline Paraguay’s Kilkfest in Asunción, the country’s capital, as part of his South American Tour.

Speaking to fans on Twitter and around the city, the indie pop icon has however promised that he will return to play for his Paraguay fanbase.

WHY WAS LIAM GALLAGHER’S PARAGUAY SHOW CANCELED?

Liam was due to headline the final day of Kilkfest 2022, however, the festival coordinators took the decision to cancel all events due to the weather.

The festival released a statement on Instagram expressing its regret over having to cancel the final day’s performances, citing the risk rain and thunderstorms could pose to the audience, staff, and performers as its reasoning.

The Manchester native said in a Tweet: “Paraguay – we’ve been advised that the show can’t happen tonight due to extreme weather. Our team and the festival have done everything we can to try and make it work but safety is paramount.”

LIAM’S MESSAGE TO FANS IN PARAGUAY

A video uploaded to Youtube last night (November 13) shows Liam signing autographs for fans.

In the video, he said: “All good things to come to those people who wait, right?”. To which the group of fans enthusiastically responded: “Yes!”

The Wonderwall singer also reached out to fans on Twitter guaranteeing that he would return to Paraguay.

He said: “Morning beautiful people of Paraguay I’m absolutely gutted we couldn’t play for you you have been absolutely incredible so welcoming I promise we’ll be back I love you stay safe LG x.”

Liam also added that he would give fans the ‘show of your life’ as soon as he is able to.

LIAM’S SOUTH AMERICAN TOUR

The 50-year-old is touring South America to promote his new solo album C’mon You Know. The 14-track album was released in May 2022 and is the singer’s third.

Despite having to cancel his Paraguay appearance, Liam will continue on to perform in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Monday, and Rio De Janeiro on Tuesday, before gracing the stage in Mexico City on Saturday, November 19.
