Today happens to be Throwback Thursday so I decided to do a little digging back into then days and luckily, I came across this old video of Shatta Wale praising his former friend turned rival, Sarkodie.
I am pretty sure most of you remember that the name Shatta Wale became quite popularly after the multiple award-winning Reggae/Dancehall musician formerly known as Bandana returned to music despite a very long hibernation after he released his ‘Moko Hoo’ album in 2004.

It is also known that after he finally came back around 2013 from Jamaica, he came with the rebranded name Shatta Wale, his story has been entirely different and great.
However, it has emerged that even though he is a big name now, in this throwback video, Shatta Wale confessed that when he came back it was not really easy for him until Sarkodie gave him an opportunity to perform at his Rapperholic Concert.

In Shatta Wale’s own words, until Sarkodie made him perform at Rapperholic, which used to take place at the Accra International Conference center, he was performing on stages made with Sapele wood.
