Ensuring the safety of your customers should be on the top of your priorities if you work as a mobile money agent. Sometimes, we leave very important clues and information open to every client who pops up in a mobile money shop and it is very dangerous and not secure.
Listed below are some of the basic things you should prevent your customers from getting access to.
(1) Your Transactions Record Book
this is a vital item that does not need to be open to your clients. This book probably contains the phone number and maybe the number of every person that has been to your shop to do a transaction. Anyone can just steal a number from the book to scam innocent victims. In order to prevent fraudsters from getting access to the book, do not leave your book lying open your counter.
(2) Keep Your Merchant Phone Away From Clients
Some agents give the phone they use to perform Mobile Money to customers to key in their numbers and other credentials. Never do this, as when you do such a thing, the person has easy access to your messages and can do many things within a very short time to build up a fraud plan. To avoid this, get a pen and book that you’ll use to write down the credentials of every customer so that you would not have to give them your phone to put in their numbers.
