Ghana has seen a lot of talents in the music industry before,now and will continue to see more talents in the future but one of the few people in this generation that the next generation will wish to have is Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr who is popularly known as Shatta Wale.
First coming to the music industry as Bandana,although with a few hit,this talented king of African Dancehall didn’t get the much attention as he expected and re-branded himself as Shatta Wale after few years of his then hit song “bandana from Ghana “.
Shatta which literally means “conquerer” was chosen for a reason. In his absence, many artists took over the dancehall category in the shape of Kaakie, Stonebwoy to mention a few. With determination, resistance, and aggression, Shatta Wale has his way through this category to the top of it.
One trademark about Shatta Wale, he has fought almost all the top musicians in the circular music industry. He is yet to fight a top gospel artist.
Am not a fan of SM but I love Shatta Wale because of his personality. He is real,he doesn’t fake and he is truthful. He doesn’t keep things within him. If you mess up,he will talk him to you. He’s a tiger,he doesn’t retreat even though he knows he will loose when he battles you. No wonder he has been included in the creative arts textbook for Ghanaian students to learn about him.
One picture going viral is a picture of a young man who made Shatta Wale with a clay. Such is taken! I opened my mouth when I saw the picture. I don’t know if the SM boss has seen it but if he does,he should settle this young man. He is very creative and talented. Here are the images.
