Ghanaians are currently mourning over the recent misfortune that has taken the lives of several persons due to an explosion at Bogoso. The country has recorded several fire explosions that had led to the death of hundreds over the past few years.
In today’s article, let us look at some three mysterious fire explosions in Ghana since 2015.
#1. Bogoso Explosion
This sad incident happened on the afternoon of 20th January 2022. This sad incident killed dozens of Ghanaians and injured hundreds of people. The cause of this disaster is a result of a crash between a tanker and a motorbike which led to an explosion. The tanker had some explosive chemicals that triggered after the crash with the motorbike.
#2. Circle Explosion
Another sad incident happened in 2015 when hundreds of people lost their lives. This was a gas explosion in a gas filling station. The explosion, unfortunately, happened due to a flood in the area. It was a disaster and a very sad incident.
#3. Atomic Junction Gas Explosion
The Atomic Junction Gas Explosion occurred on 7th October 2017, when a liquefied natural gas station located around Atomic Junction in Accra, Ghana, exploded. There were a number of fatalities,[3] with at least seven deaths and 192 injuries being reported.
