Christians all over the world have chosen today 4th April to mark the Ressurection of Jesus Christ from the dead known as an Easter.
They believe that Christ died on the cross to redeem the world, and three days after his death he arose. The Easter celebration is ushered in by a series of events on a week known as Holy Week.

The Tomb Where Jesus Was Buried
The burial site of Jesus Christ is yet to be settled. Three sites have been claimed to be the burial ground of Christ and we’ll take a look at them.

1. Church of the Holy Sepulchre
This is the oldest and most compelling site for Christ burial based on evidence. According to archaeologists, this ancient place was the burial site of Jesus.
A shrine has been built to surround the remains of the tomb.
2. The Garden Tomb
The most popular of the 3 acclaimed sites is the Garden Tomb. It is a garden with a tomb sited inside it.

This site is a tourist attraction.
3. Talpiot Tomb
Discovered in 1980 and used in a documentary named “The Lost Tomb of Jesus” a movie by James Cameron.
This site claims to have inscriptions of names like Jesus, Joseph and Mary in it.
Country of Location
All the purported sites of Jesus’ tomb are located in the city of Jerusalem in modern-day Israel.
