It is the start of a new week and Ghanaians have started going about their weekly activities. For 2 weeks now, Ghanaians have been calling the President Akufo-Addo to fix the country.

Two weeks, conveners of the Fix the country staged a massive online protest. This was followed yesterday by Kevin Taylor’s virtual demonstration which saw over 16,000 comments on Facebook alone and several thousands on other media handles.

Maybe, General founder and head of Perez Chapel agrees with them. In an early Monday, May 17, 2021 Facebook live video, Bishop Charles Agyin Asare has given Ghanaians something to think about. The revered man of God is currently in the United Kingdom. Bishop was on his usual walk and had already covered 4km of walk when he started the video.

“When I came to London, I want to borrow from a gentleman who has been making videos. He says the system is working 24/7. From the time we got here we were supposed to self-isolate. They called every day. Every day they call us to check whether we are self-quarantining or have gone out.

When you go out you are fined 2000 pounds. Amazingly, on the third day they came to our home to find out if we were at home or gone out. We had to do a Covid test on the 2nd day and the 8th day to prove that you are negative.

After the proof you are released to go to town. Well, I was so amazed that every day to the 9th day after the second report before we could go out. It is amazing. When systems work, what happens? I wanna leave that with you” Agyin Asare said.

Are systems working in Ghana?
