A young promising Ghanaian Engineer, who is a son of William Amuna, a former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCO) has died in United States after drowning in the Granite Point Snake River in Washington State.
The 27-year-old gifted Engineer died while reportedly on a fishing expedition with a friend on Saturday, July 24, 2021. All attempts to rescue him failed until his body was recovered. His body has since been deposited in the morgue awaiting autopsy.
Until his death, he worked with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) as an Associate Engineer. He had joined the reputable company in after his graduation from the Engineering Department of the University of North Carolina in December 2020.
Last year the deceased made the headlines when he graduated with his Master’s in Electrical Engineering. Many praised his brilliance and humility both during his undergraduate days at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi and as a graduate student in America.
