Dancehall star Stonebwoy has weighed in on the recent seizure of Shatta Wale’s 2019 Lamborghini Urus by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), saying the news came as no surprise to him.
The luxury SUV, first showcased by Shatta Wale in 2024, was reportedly seized after FBI reports linked it to a fraud investigation. Speaking in an interview with The Fix on August 12, 2025, Stonebwoy suggested that he had already hinted there was more to Shatta Wale’s flashy lifestyle.
“When you follow the news properly, me as a man we know the truth before the truth comes out… I made some revelations already before stuff got going on,” Stonebwoy said.
The “Settings Man” Comment
When Shatta Wale first announced his Lamborghini purchase, Stonebwoy had described him on Angel FM as a “settings man” — a term he says refers to someone who sets things up to appear a certain way without it being the full reality.
“Settings… it’s a Ghanaian slang, me want the Jamaican them adapt it. When I say a man is a settings man, him love to set up things… but it’s not the real one, it’s not the real situation,” he explained.
Stonebwoy clarified that his earlier remarks were based on insider knowledge, saying:
“I’m a fan of music, I’m a musician too, but fortunately I’m an insider. Me know whole heap of things where you can’t know.”
“The Industry is Full of Flashy Illusions”
According to the BHIM Nation boss, the Lamborghini saga is just a glimpse of a much larger issue in the Ghanaian entertainment industry — where some artistes live flashy lifestyles they cannot afford.
“It’s not everybody who can really have it or afford it… but many people want to flash it. I know certain things, whole heap of things in the background where me is not a fan of. If some of the things I knew were known by other people, I wouldn’t sleep,” he said.
Stonebwoy’s comments have sparked fresh debate among fans and industry watchers, with many revisiting his past statements in light of Shatta Wale’s ongoing legal troubles.
