Ghanaian gospel act, Selina Boateng has revealed that, they receive royalties from the Ghana Music Right Organisation(GHAMRO), but it’s too small.
She also added that the highest amount She has received from GHAMRO is GH 500 and the lowest is GH 160, although She has many songs out there.
”We receive royalties but its small, the highest amount I have received is 500 cedis and the lowest is 160 cedis”
Selina stated that, some legends needs to take care of themselves with their royalties, now that they are no more active, but the amount of money GHAMRO gives to them is too small.
”Some of the legends are suffering, some people are no more active, some are not well, so their royalties may help them, but the money is too small”
She then pleaded with GHAMRO officials to step up their game, by helping musicians with enough royalties.
