Ever thought that some aspects of life have already been designed to happen by a higher power and you have no control over its inevitability?
A 36-year-old woman named Holly Shearer had a chance to meet with her long-lost son after decades of being apart.
She had given up her infant son for adoption 20 years ago only for them to meet for recently the first time and discover they both work at St. Mark’s Hospital, Salt Lake City, USA.
In 2001, Holly gave birth to a boy but being that she was a teenager, she handed him over to the Hulleberg family to be raised.
Years went by and Benjamin got to find out that the Hullebergs were not his biological parents and that he was adopted.
Interestingly, sometime in 2021, Holly searched for Benjamin on Facebook and sent him a message. They arranged to meet and were surprised to discover that they work at the same hospital.
Speaking to Good Morning America, Holly said: “He was always on my mind. More so on holidays and his birthday, roller coaster of emotions. I thought about him all the time.”
Meanwhile, Benjamin also talked about their momentous meeting and how it left him in an emotional state.
He said; “I was crying. It was all very positive emotions. But to me, this is a day I had been waiting for the past 20 years of my life and to imagine that it was finally happening was outrageous. It was a lot to take in.”
