The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has confirmed the seizure of a 2019 Lamborghini Urus from Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, revealing that the luxury vehicle has been linked to convicted fraudster Nana Kwabena Amuah.
According to an official statement released by EOCO, the operation was carried out in collaboration with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Department of Justice. The seizure followed a 2023 request by U.S. authorities to assist in the recovery of assets tied to financial crimes.

The operation, conducted by EOCO’s Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit (SARU), involved a lawful search of Shatta Wale’s residence located at Trassaco Valley Phase 1 in Accra. It resulted in the successful recovery of the Lamborghini, which U.S. officials have linked to proceeds from fraudulent activities committed by Nana Kwabena Amuah.

Amuah is currently serving an 86-month prison sentence in the United States for multiple financial offenses. His connection to the luxury vehicle was a key factor in triggering the cross-border asset recovery effort.

“In June this year, the Economic and Organised Crime Office, acting on a 2023 request from the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice, carried out a lawful search of a residence in Trassaco Valley Phase 1, Accra,” EOCO’s statement confirmed.
Since the seizure, mugshots of Nana Kwabena Amuah have surfaced on social media, fueling public interest and speculation around the case and its potential implications for Shatta Wale.

EOCO has not confirmed whether the artiste is under investigation, but the development has sparked widespread conversation about celebrity associations and illicit wealth.
