Ghana’s favorite Rock star and highlife artiste, Kuami Eugene, has revealed other hidden skills buried inside of him with his latest “Ghana We Dey” banger which features legendary dancehall artists Samini and Shatta Wale, produced by MOGbeats.
With regards to Ghana’s upcoming independence celebration, some Ghanaians acknowledge this great piece as the song for the season. In spite of featuring hardcore top dancehall artists, Kuami Eugene rose to the challenge making it almost impossible to choose any of the artist’s performances on the song over the other. Adopting the pidgin and some patois, Kuami Eugene proved that although known for highlife, his versatility knows no bound.
Shatta Wale and Samini, like Kuami Eugene, also did what they do best on the beat, maintaining the energy and bringing their A-games on the song. They are expected to shoot a music video and help push the song in their all small way.
Although Kuami Eugene seems content with his highlife accolades, it seems the Afro beat and possibly dancehall genre could be a new path to be explored by the artist in the near future.
