Highlife musician Dada Hafco has stated emphatically, that lynx entertainment signee and 2019 VGMAs highlife act of the year, Kuami Eugene is not a highlife artist but rather does Afrobeatz.
He claim to have said this because the type music Kuami Eugene does lacks the elements of highlife music.

He also stated that Amakye Dede crowning Eugene as the highlife king during the 2019 VGMAs was a wrong move because he thinks it was a total disrespect to other great highlife acts in the Country.
Dada Hafco revealed this in an interview with media personality Abeiku Sanatana.
