The award-winning artists Kofi Kinaata in an interview with MzGee has shown his appreciation for winning the ultimate award of the evening. He also used the opportunity to clear the air about certain allegations leveled at him.
When asked about young western region artists accusing him for not featuring them on his songs and for not jumping onto their songs when they send them to him. He replied that if people have observed his pattern they will notice that he doesn’t feature people on his songs. To him, the songs he sings are his life stories and other artists may not be able to tell his story as it is, which is why he doesn’t feature on his songs.

Yet he has expressed his willingness to be featured on other’s songs. Also speaking about not featuring artists who send songs to him, he replied that he as featured on over 30 songs and yet people still complain about not doing theirs. He believes it’s human nature and no matter what he does, there will be people who will still be unsatisfied with his best.
