In a press statement issued by his sister, Susan Adjola, the family expressed their deep distress and requested that people stop circulating claims that their brother committed suicide.
“The sudden passing of our Jacob Yaw Mawuko Adjola has left the Adjola family in great pain. The police are currently investigating the matter, including the alleged letter and the accident. We plead with everyone to allow the investigation to take its due course.

“We would prefer more prayers during this time of our loss rather than the dissemination of any sensitive information that would make things more difficult for us,” she said.
In a separate statement, Baraka Outreach LBG, the church where Jacob Adjola worshipped, urged the public to reject the allegations circulating on social media that the singer committed suicide.
“This communique seeks to debunk the rumors on social media about the alleged cause of Jacob Adjola’s demise.
