Every artiste in the music industry has a genre they follow or stick to such as, Hiplife, Highlife, Afrobeats and a host of others.
But it seems some artistes want to break this tradition of sticking to a genre of music as a musician.
Ay Poyoo a comedian and artiste revealed in an interview with Abieku Santana that he does not follow any genre of music.

According to the artiste, he has his own of music genre called the “Wash out Music”.
When asked the reason behind such genre, the artists indicated he is alone and as a comedian, he has come to know that he can do music alongside comedy. Because he loves music.
He disclosed that his fan base are called “Poyoorains”. He further indicated he stands for “hustlers”. Because he is a hustler.’

He gave the reason for his name “Poyoo”. The comedian/musician indicated that the person who introduced him to showbiz is called, “Spotoo”. He wanted a name that would rhyme with Spotoo. That is how he came up with the name, Poyoo.
