AFCON tournament kick-off, Cameroon and Burkina Faso battle as the host nation takes their first three points in the group stages. All the referees in this tournament are expected to make decisions to the best of their abilities according to the Laws of the Game because their discretions can affect the result of the game
CAF standards to select referees to officiate during the AFCON tournament have been reviewed, and they have selected the best across the continent. It’s not clear who is going to officiate quarter-final, semi-final and final but during their performance in group stages certainly the best referees will handle the finals
