The Ghana Commercial Bank is sending a message to the general public about some fraudsters who seem to retrieve large sums of money from customers of the bank.
According to the bank, some alleged fraudsters by the name Rosemond Asante and Barrister John are contacting individuals and claiming to have key information about the bank accounts of the customer’s deceased relatives.
The bank is urging the general public to disregard these persons anytime they call them because they have no affiliation with the bank.
The general public is therefore expected to report such cases to the Ghana police if anyone tries to fraud them.
There is a high rate of scamming and fraud in the country. People tend to use technology to convince people and steal from them. The Ghana Police service is ready to arrest anyone who falls victim.
